An eye-catching iconic white building with a futuristic design, EYE in Amsterdam has welcomed 750,000 film fans per year from all over the world. “Our building draws visitors like a magnet. That helps us to present film as an art form,” says museum director Sandra den Hamer.
The museum also screens new independent releases, hosts special evenings dedicated to experimental film and acts as a national film archive. It also hosts events in its main viewing area, where it serves as a relaxing place to have a drink and enjoy whatever the venue has to offer. EYE is one of the recent investments from Triodos Cultuurfonds and one of the bigger and more well-known projects in portfolio.
